Asymmetry

To be honest, I only watched the red carpet pre-show of the Oscar's last night (while I ironed my clean sheets - who does that?!), but I was not disappointed by the dresses.

This season's runway favorite of asymmetrical, one-shouldered dresses was definitely in full force as seen below. Two of my favorites were Kate Winslet and Marisa Tomei's beautiful dresses, Winslet's in a beautiful blue, and Tomei's with a really interesting (in the best of ways!) geometric pleating.




Hmm... now I need to think up a reason to wear a beautiful gown like these! Grown-up prom-themed party, anyone?
