Glamping? No, just regular camping...

Oh, readers. *sigh*
I'm so sorry for not posting today. The day just got away from me.

Just like we're getting away tomorrow.
The Boyfriend and I are going camping at Dabob Bay on Hood Canal for the weekend. It's just a ferry ride and a bit of a drive from Seattle, but it's so peaceful it seems so much farther. We'll go clamming, make s'mores, and build log forts on the beach. I'm so excited (and I promise you, that's not sarcasm).

It would be nice to go glamping... you know, glamour camping... like this:


...but I can definitely handle the little beach just fine. It would be nice to build a cabin out there someday, but for now we'll just enjoy each others' company in our new tent or huddled by the fire.

And the weekend comes to a close...

I don't think this past weekend could have been any better! So much sunshine, so many friends, and so much time spent outside!

The one moment The Boyfriend and I did relish indoors was our breakfast yesterday morning: A smoked salmon and vegetable scramble, apples with honey, and mimosas!

I definitely couldn't pass it up!)

The only fruit we had on hand (Fujis), perked up with some honey.

Scramble: Smoked salmon, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and parmesan

We were joined by our salt-and-pepper bears!
(And just to the left, you'll notice we used the thrifted juice decanter.)

I also got to puppy-sit my friends' brand new, seven-week old puppy, Gus! Is he a heart-breaker, or what?


The rest of the week is supposed to be just as beautiful (with the exception of a few small showers tomorrow). It's supposed to get even warmer! Mid-70s!

Blossoming

This weekend's weather completely erased my bad mood from last week! Yesterday was in the upper 60s, a huge deal for Seattle right now (especially after we woke up to snow a few days ago). I spent a good while walking around the city, taking pictures of the cherry blossoms:


I bought a great pair of cute tennis shoes (I've been searching for some for so long!), as well as some beautiful ranunculuses which I clustered in a stemless wine glass (below). My friend, Eleni, and I also did a bit of thrifting on Saturday, and I found some fantastic pieces that I will share with you in this week's Thrifted Thursday post. I had a hard time not posting them today!


Yesterday evening involved the boyfriend and I walking all over our neighborhood swooning over all the gorgeous mansions we will never be able to afford. Oh, how I love daydreaming...

I hope everyone's weekend was just as lovely! I sure hope this weather stays around awhile longer. You can definitely look forward to some cheerier posts this week!
